“Inspired and motivated by her father, Ray Ellis, Peggy began painting with watercolors at a young age. Peggy then studied at The New School in New York and The DeCordova Museum School in Massachusetts. She is often inspired by nature and the world around her, especially the ocean and coast, and more recently the Southern Lowcountry. Her work has been displayed in galleries and juried shows since 2011, and her original watercolors and oils now join her father’s work at the Ray Ellis Gallery in Savannah, Ga. Peggy now lives and works in Charleston, S.C.”
